Senior Pastor - Bob Adelsperger

Having been born and raised in Ohio, receiving his BA at Bowling Green State University and his M.Div from Ashland Theological Seminary, Bob is a die hard Buckeye. Bob started ministry by serving a small church in Illinois before coming to Peru in 2001. Since then, he has considered his main task to help people find and follow Jesus.

Bob spends most of his free time with his wife, Diane, and two sons, Andrew and Seth. He enjoys watching his sons' participate in football, basketball and baseball. On rare occasions, Bob is known to sneak away to go fishing or hiking where no one can find him.

Worship Director - Bethany Colgrove

Bethany joined our staff in September 2010. As Director of Worship, Bethany oversees the music and worship planning of both of our morning services.

Bethany married her best friend, Nicholas Colgrove, on August 7, 2010.

Admin. Assistant - Kelly Meadows

Kelly began attending First Baptist Church as a child with a friend. As an adult, this is where her relationship with Jesus grew and became a vital part of her life. Kelly and her husband, Bill, have been members most of their married lives.

Temporary Youth Director - Nick Colgrove

Originally a native of Cleveland, Ohio, Nick spent four years living in Huntington, Indiana, where he earned a degree in Philosophy and Bible & Religion from Huntington University. After moving to Peru, Nick became involved with the senior high youth group as a small group leader. Since then, Nick has been hired as FBC’s Youth Director on a temporary basis (lasting until May 31st, 2012).

Nick most enjoys spending time with his wife, Bethany, as well as spending time with friends. Nick also enjoys playing video games, watching/analyzing movies, and reading books, whether simple fiction or complex philosophical treatises. More than anything, Nick has a passion for developing deep relationships, fostering spiritual growth through discipleship, learning alongside others in seeking after the God who saves, and discerning what type of life we are called to live in light of God’s free gift of salvation.
